Healthy Baby Boy

On September 16th, we had our second ultrasound and got to see images of the baby. He has two arms, two legs, kidneys, a beating heart, a brain...everything seems normal and healthy!

We are excited to have a boy carry on the Phruksukarn family name. There are currently only 12 people in the world with our last name!

Now for the fun (and challenging) part of coming up with a great first and middle name!

It's a BOY!!

Katrina at 16 weeks in England

Hi all! So, I know my blog has been pretty boring and uneventful so far, but there really hasn't been much to report. Although I obviously know I'm pregnant, there are several things I associate with pregnancy:

1. Looking the part: Although I have now graduated into wearing maternity pants and plenty of leggings, I have only gained about 5 pounds and do not "look" pregnant. I will soon be posting my 16 week photos, so you can search for my baby bump yourself!

2. Feeling the baby kick: I hear that any day now (around the 18 week point), I can expect to start feeling movements. I haven't felt anything yet, that I know of...

3. Knowing the gender: We will find out on Thursday, September 16!! Since we don't know yet if we're going to have a little boy or girl, we have not begun the name game selection nor have we started to think about registering for all that fun baby gear we are going to need. I promise I will update the blog on Thursday, once we find out!

4. Becoming incapacitated: Well, maybe "incapacitated" is a bit too strong of a word, but certainly later on in pregnancy, my activities may be limited or become more challenging. To this point, I have not had to modify my activities. In fact, I just got back from jogging 2.8 miles this morning and felt great!

So, I'm sure once these things start happening, it will really sink in to me that I am growing a little person inside me. And I will have much more exciting stuff to talk about my blog. Don't give up on me- keep checking back for more news!
